Katie's brother

Alfred was born  in 1869. He married Miss Taylor the daughter of a wealthy Tasmanian family. The couple produced three children, Mary, Joan and Jack. Alfred died about 1940.

Alfred's older daughter Mary was a bookshop proprietor in Brisbane Street, Launceston see below.  Joan married Colin Edgell and lived in Canberra. While Colin's was badly injured during World War II his whereabouts and circumstances are not known ,
